Hall’s Racing showcased both pace and potential at Brands Hatch this past weekend (April 4-5) as the team claimed a podium finish on its debut outing in the TCR UK Championship.
Running two JAS Motorsport-built Honda Civic Type R FL5 TCRs for Max Hall and Max Hart, the fledgling squad kicked off its 2026 campaign in rollercoaster fashion with Irish ace Hart emerging with a best finish of second place in race two.
Arriving at the Kent circuit brimming with optimism, the team wasted no time in laying down its marker to the rest of the field as Hall and Hart lit up the timesheets during what was an ultra-competitive qualifying session on Saturday morning.
Rising star Hall led the line for the team as he posted the second fastest time, narrowly missing out on pole position by just two tenths of a second. Hart - who was making a welcome return to the series - underlined the team’s pace by finishing up fourth.
Unfortunately, that was to be as good as things got on Saturday as a less than smooth start procedure cause Hall to suffer a clutch issue as the lights went out. The result was a sluggish start and then a heavy impact from the rear, ending his race on the spot.
Following a red flag to allow for Hall’s car to be recovered, the race began with Hart charging into a commanding lead. On course to take a comfortable win, the TCR Europe racer frustratingly suffered a crank sensor failure which resulted in him failing to finish.

Keen to bounce back on Easter Sunday, the team demonstrated their pedigree in a frenetic second race that saw Hart hound fellow Honda Civic Type R driver Jenson O’Neill Going for a large portion of the race.
Try as he might to find a way past, O’Neill Going provided a resolute defence and Hart ultimately settled for second place. Further back, Hall showed off his overtaking prowess as he pulled off a number of sublime moves to go from the back of the grid to finish in sixth.
The weekend’s third and final race saw Hart and Hall once again in the thick of the action. For Hall, a challenging launch off the front row left the Bristolian with work to do however his never give up attitude shone through and he was able to battle back to finish 11th.
For Hart it was a case of what could have been. Continuing to show the blistering pace that helped seal a podium earlier in the day, the Irishman was again on a charge however a lengthy safety car period denied him the chance of breaking onto the podium; he instead finished fifth.
The TCR UK Championship continues on May 2-3 at Croft.
