Max Hall has his sights set on bouncing back to form at the next round of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship after enduring a rollercoaster outing at Brands Hatch this past weekend (May 10-11).

Continuing his education in the UK’s premier motorsport series at the Kent venue, the ROKiT Racing with Un-Limited Motorsport driver found himself out of luck on race day as he failed to add to his points tally.

Struggling to extract the maximum out of his Cupra Leon in practice - with it later being discovered that a differential issue would be the cause of his performance issues - the 18-year-old qualified 19th for the first of Sunday’s three races.

Opting to run the less favourable hard compound tyre in race one, the Wiltshire racer enjoyed a few hard-fought battles on his way to what was a relatively untroubled run to the chequered flag.

Race two would unfortunately see proceedings come to a premature end as contact with his team-mate Dexter Patterson resulted in both cars coming to rest in the Paddock Hill Bend gravel trap.

Hall would sadly not see the finish in the weekend’s finale either as a tyre failure in the latter stages of the race saw him go off the road at Paddock Hill Bend and then again at the exit of Clearways.

Despite coming away with a trio of less than desirable results, the talented teenager remains in a good position in both the Independent Drivers’ Championship and the coveted Jack Sears Trophy.

Max Hall: “It’s not been the weekend I’d hoped for but there are plenty of lessons that I can take away and learn from. From the minute we hit the track the car wasn’t hooked up and it turns out we had a differential issue that was found late on Sunday, so at least that is sorted for Snetterton.

“Races one and two were tough but in race three, when we had the diff fixed, we had really good pace and I think I was up to P14 before the tyre exploded without warning. I tried my best to get it back to the pits but it was near impossible to do so.

“On the whole it hasn’t been the weekend I wanted at all however I’m confident that going to Snetterton we’ll be in a much better place and hopefully we can hit the ground running, have three strong races and score some points.”

Snetterton hosts Rounds 7, 8 and 9 of the 2025 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship season on May 24-25.
